Praise for this book

Captivating!

Kite is Book Two in author Kara Hunt’s Paper Dolls, Habakkuk series. It is a 233 page paperback that is full of family drama, danger, and intrigue. A thrilling Christian, mystery, suspense, it had me turning page after page to see what would happen next.

This is the story of Kite Eagle, a former private investigator. Kite is newly married after having been widowed. It is a poignant story of moving on to one love after losing one. Just when things are going well, something happens to upset her peace. A mystery presents itself and the author provides twists and turns as readers follow the story.

If you read the first book, you will be pleased to be reacquainted with old friends from it. I adore the characters in this series. They are realistic, relatable, and just the right mix of friends. I would love to have coffee with these ladies and chat.

The author has an endearing style of writing. It is easy to become invested in the characters and their story. This is filled with intrigue, warfare, and relationship challenges to keep the story exciting. There are Christian and life lessons to be learned through this amazing novel. Conversations sound realistic. The adventure feels real and my emotions mimicked Kite’s.

I highly recommend this exceptional fictional book. A reading group or book club would have a lively discussion with it as a choice. It gets a five star rating from this reader. I am eagerly awaiting Book Three.
